    @Nona99:  That’s was my first thought too.  Annabel Lee.  I think Annabel is the traditional spelling.

    as long as it’s double n, I’m not fussed. The single n is just … no.

    Annabel is the traditional spelling… But somehow I kind of love Annabelle. It just looks complete, to me.

    Whatever you end up doing, make sure you keep the 2nd ‘n.’ Writing only one ‘n’ feels and looks a bit unatural and if that were my name I think I’d go batty correcting people constantly, reminding them that it’s only one ‘n’ and not 2. People sometimes think to what they already know and apply that to other names and they have other names like Anne, Annette, Annie, etc to refer to.

    Are you wanting to pronounce it with the initial sound being a as in car/ almond (if so, single n), or a as in hand/ mat (if so, double n). Either way, lovely name. I like the bel, but no reason in particular.
