jily:  That’s what I did too.

The best part was my Maid/Matron of Honor was at a music festival when I called her, and she was quite a bit drunk. She called me back the next day asking if I’d really asked or if she’d imagined it.

I bought mine on etsy. Each girl got a box tied with a pink ribbon. When they opened it, there was a balloon and a large safety pin. When they popped the balloon some confetti and a note asking them to be a bridesmaid or Maid/Matron of Honor were inside. Here are some pics my friend sent me because the seller sent them directly and I didn’t get to see them.

I asked my Maid/Matron of Honor in person when she was in town visiting. Then the other bridesmaids I made funny cards for and got them printed.

I mentioned it to most of my bridesmaids right after I got engaged but I wanted to officially ask them too so I made some boxes and printed individual cards for each girl. They had a rough wedding timeline and a more personal message on each one. I also included all the bridesmaids’ phone numbers and emails for planning. It was so fun to collect everything! This is how it turned out:

I gave my adult bridesmaids these cards I got from etsy, where you scratch off the balloon to reveal the message.

I gave the little flower girls a helium balloon with a message to tied to it that I’d written in stars I’d cut out

I got some cute bridesmaid proposal cards from etsy and made them gift bags with mini bottles of champagne , chocolates, coffee mugs and Starbucks via packets. Some of them got left at their desks at work,  for the family members I put them under the Christmas tree.  Everyone was surprised and loved that I went the extra step to make it a surprise.
