Blah, about to go to work. Today is gonna be a LOOOOOOONG day. Can’t wait to get back home.

Felt silly I couldn’t answer a single one of the jeweler’s questions so I sent my guy an email with some answer last night after I researched what the jeweler was asking. πŸ™‚ Haven’t sent an email in 2 months so I thought it was ok. And after seeing the median cost of rings I’m having so much trouble not offering to pay for it again. I asked before and he said no, that he wanted it to be his thing. But the guilt is setting in again. I don’t mind ME spending that kind of money, I’m just not comfortable with HIM spending it.

Good luck with the new job and congrats! Why can’t you sleep? πŸ™‚

@sherryberry: Things are doing ok, thanks for asking! Just been trying to keep busy with planning fun things for the summer. I’m currently trying to grow my hair super long, so that’s been taking up a lot of my time… Researching online about hair, rather than rings, weddings, etc.

Gwen.

Yeah I sometimes feel guilty about wanting what I want, but my SO wants it to be his thing!

I’m doing pretty darn awesome!  I’m going to stay with my SO for a couple days (ending LDR sooo sooooon) and just hang out and be awesome together, hahah.  We found the gemstone for my Engagement Ring this past weekend and then I e-mailed him about what I like along with an Etsy treasury filled with styles I like so he could actually see what I was talking about.

Now I have to keep my trap shut!  Which is soooo tough because we’re in the process of finding a month-to-month place for the meanwhile and looking for houses to buy and I’ve told him I won’t move in with him until we’re engaged which he knows and agrees with.  I don’t want to be a nag about it saying “you know we have to be engaged first!” everytime he starts talking about houses/temporary rentals.

@sherryberry: Yep, aquamarine!  Apparently it’s all the rage now for e-rings, did not know that before I wanted it.  We’ve been in LDR since August, and we did it a couple years ago for a year too.  So excited for it to be over for good.

I haven’t been able to sleep very well since spring semester ended. I think I’m just drowning in stress, really. Summer classes start in a few weeks, I’m working like a dog at work while trying to exercise regularly and eat healthy (which surprisingly, concentrating on healthy eating tires me?). I’m stressed because I’m supposed to get paid every week, but because I’m new, the paychecks have been delayed because of paperwork…and I need that money to buy my plane ticket to see my SO in 10 days!!

And on top of that, the plane tickets went from $269…to $495. I’m hoping they drop soon…if not…it looks like I won’t be going to see R this month. Which would be 1 of 2 trips he would have the opportunity to propose. So I’m feeling kind of sad.

I hope the prices drop…:(

Things are ….normal. It’s not great, but ok with a chance of getting better. Here’s the good stuff.

My Crohn’s dr is pretty awesome and is going to start me on IV iron treatment to take care of my persistent anemia. I am excited! The chance of not being this tired all the time is wonderful!

I’m super busy with school. I hate it, but whatever. It’s gotta be done.

Spring is here and it’s so nice.

Boyfriend is opening up a separate account to start saving for my ring this next week after he gets his birthday $$$.

The new moissanite colour enhancement has worked out and there is now an H coloured moissanite!!!! I am stoked!

Boyfriend’s friend bought him a new 32″ flat screen TV as a birthday present. Perfect for our studio and such great picture quality!

I’m saving up for ferret supplies. EEEEEE!

There’s just a lot going well when I think about it! Good times.

My busy season at work is right now, so this means I just went from a winter of working from home to back out on the weekends shooting weddings!! yay!.. err…

while I love my job, I have to say, being around happy newly wedded couples weekend after weekend is a little much for this waiting lady at times!! And while I’m a kick ass photographer who has a great repertoire, and bonds with every bride I work with, I can’t help but feel like “when do i get to find the sassy rad photographer who’s gonna shake up my wedding day?”

Notice, even while mentally complaining about my waiting-ness, I still manage to keep my massive ego about my supa photo skillz. lol.

@sherryberry: Thank you! I hope they do too! I’m no good at this stress-handling thing!
