I’m handmaking our invites, will have them sent out by 3/22.

Our shower is 3/29 and my bachelorette is 4/26.

Y’all are making me feel behind though! Still need to do:

Flowers (DIY)

Figure out the cake (doing a bunch of small rounds, so not a huge deal)

Finalize groomsmen outfits

groomsmen gifts

Just had to kick out a groomsman (no cheaters in the wedding, especially when the person they cheated on is my good friend and my hairdresser!) so we need a new groomsman.

Make the programs

Parent gifts

Book honeymoon

Buy stuff for the candy bar

Finish buying the alcohol

Table #s

SO MUCH TO DO!

@nadnuk Hey there date/city twin!

After reading these posts, I am getting on the ball and going to have my invites out this week.

I really do have a lot accomplished, but does anyone else feel like the To Do List keeps growing?

@Sharzan:  Yes!  One step forward, two steps back.  I keep adding things to the checklist at a pace that far exceeds what I am checking off.  Helloooooo final three months!

@kb7:  I have 67 days to go, and all the smaller things are really starting to hit me now. There is so much stuff to do. We need to:

Attend 2 wedding showers and write thank you notes

Attend our bachelor/bachelorette parties

Meet with the DJ to discuss logistics. Make final payment.

Complete 2 wedding counseling sessions with a couple at our church

Meet with the priest, discuss readings and music

Meet with the caterer, finalize food options, review table set up, etc. Final payment for them.

Select flowers for wrist corsages, may also do babys breath bouquets for bridal party. tbd

Second dress fitting and then final fitting. Ensure dress and veil are steamed and ready to go.

Select ties/shirts for groomsmen and Fiance

Choose cupcake flavors. Arrange for delivery and setup with caterer on rented displays.

Buy alcohol. Come up with signature drink and a mocktail recipe (I dont drink)

Set up rehearsal dinner and get ILs to send out the invites (they are OOO, so are looking for help with choosing a venue)

Seating charts and escort cards. Table numbers and menus. Signage for bar and desserts.

Find a card box. Figure out how to secure it while in the venue.

Must-have photo list for photographers. Final payment to photographers.

Arrange for dog-walker to visit multiple times on day of wedding

Hair and makeup trial. Final payment to hair and makeup artists.

Wedding license (60 days out)

Wedding Day-of schedule with contact info sheet

Ugh, I can’t wait until May 11!!!!!

I feel like we’re doing pretty good… all of the BIG stuff is out of the way, just down to the details.  I just had my bridal shower Sunday, so I am working on Thank You cards for that.  We have a couple’s shower next month along with our joing Vegas bachelor/bachelorette trip.  We have some friends getting married a month before us and some getting married 3 weeks after us, so we are also attending all of their pre-wedding festivities along with ours.  I guess some of the things I am working on now would be:

  • Hair and makeup trial in 2 weeks (and bridal portraits)
  • Make cake topper
  • Print out programs
  • Purchase wedding favors
  • Wedding party & family gifts – some things have been purchased, just need to finish up
  • Finalize ceremony
  • Decide on music for DJ
  • Dance lessons with my dad – he insists, lol!

There’s a bunch more too, but that’s my list for now.  We also have to start buying our alcohol, guest book, card holder… finish decorations, prepare a timeline… so much to do!  I am getting more and more excited with each passing day!  May 10 can’t get here soon enough 🙂
