I think it all sounds very good; however, I would just make sure that you keep the shrimp separate from the veggies. Some people are allergic to fish, even if it just touches something.

Sounds good. But what about cole slaw?! Lol. I guess you can tell I’m from the south! I might rethink the mashed potatoes/cornbread/mac and cheese–all three are starches, what about a veggie?

Oh that menu sounds DELICIOUS!  I’d want to go to your reception.  I like all the substantial downhome food!

I agree about the veggies. What about corn on the cobb? Roasted mixed veggies? BBQ veggie skewers?

Lol my sis’ boyfriend thinks the same way, potatoes = veggie. Haha! I love it!

Corn is very BBQ, thats a good alternative!

LOVE all those foods πŸ™‚ mmmmm!

But I agree…even if veggies arn’t YOUR fav you gotta have some…you could do corn on the cob, a fun veggie and fruit tray with dip(s), a salad (a summery one with fruits, too), etc!

Sounds good. You have plenty of food and you don’t need to add anything else.

Potatoes are a vegetable, regardless if a caterer calls them a starch or not. They’re definitely not a fruit so a veggie is the only other option that it could be.

Sounds really good.  I would love to be at your reception!  My mom was a wedding planner & one appetizer that all of her brides LOVED & were the first to go were Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts.  They are to die for & so easy to do.  That appetizer came to mind while I was reading through your menu.

I agree, corn on the cob would be really good with this, and cute too!
