Huge HP fan. But when I imagine adults holding stuffed animals it seems a bit cheesy. You might have them carry books or go empty handed.

I like the cage idea but stuffed/ plush animals does seem a little cheesy…

What aboult old lanterns? Or cages with flowers in them. I’ll try to find photos.

Lanterns was my first thought too! I would personally keep them all matching/neutral coloured though so it doesn’t look too busy.

Do they need to hold anything? 

Quills might look good

myv13 :  the reason why women typically “hold” something is because they don’t have pockets. Woman hold flower to give them something to do with their hands. Men put their hands in their pockets. 

We had a mixed gender bridal party and still went with flowers/nothing for women/men

myv13 :  To keep costs down, if they all carried lanterns they could double as part of your centrepieces later. That’s what we did, but with all the bouquets!
