<3 hugs to you pretty lady! I can only imagine you’re disapointed and its okay to feel that way. I think taping it would be a great idea, and having someone with you is good too. I am sure he is disapointed as well. xo

@PrncssDva:  I am so sorry darling. I would def try and video it, I am pretty sure you would be able to hear the sound!
Good luck!

@PrncssDva:  Oh, I feel for you. You are not being a big baby!! I completely understand how sad you must feel and how difficult it must be for Darling Husband. ((HUGS))

@PrncssDva:  I feel for ya, I’ve had 2 ultrasounds so far and Darling Husband hasn’t even seen/heard the baby in person yet. It is kind of sad not to share that with your hubby. He’s coming to our gender U/S at the end of the month though.

Your doctor’s office lets you videotape ultrasounds? Mine has a strict policy against it 🙁

I totally feel for you!  If Darling Husband and I have kids, and I’m pregnant during the “busy season” I forsee a lot of Dr./ultrasound appt’s without Darling Husband there…

I second taping it and showing it to your Darling Husband later!  At least he’ll be able to experience it later… and at least you’ll have your Mom there to experience it with!  Hope it goes well!

Darling Husband finally got to hear the heartbeat at 16 weeks. I originally planned to record it with the sound recorder on my iPhone at my 11/12 week visit, but they were unable to locate the heartbeat (did a quick ultrasound to make sure it was there and it was, just stubborn child).

He also missed the 12 week NT scan, so he hasn’t seen the jelly bean since the 7 week dating scan. I’m really looking forward to the 20 week scan in October. It will be his first time seeing it as a “real baby”.

When Darling Husband was unable to make it I would sound record on my iPhone and text it to him right away. He loved it!!

Not sure about others but every doc apt I had during my pregnancy we listened to the heartbeat. So why can’t you just see if an apt that you know for sure your Darling Husband can go that you can have him hear the heartbeat then?

You will hear the HB many many times through the pregnancy, try not to dwell on this one time.

you can definitely record it. My husband won’t make it to any of my appointments until about 36 weeks. I recorded it on my iPhone, so he got to see and hear the heartbeat and the little shrimp (at the time).

The same thing happened to me. I would certainly recomend recording it. My doctor was even more than happy to make sure the recording played back well enough before I left, otherwise he would have attempted it again to make sure it came in clear. Fiance otherwise did not get to hear the heartbeat until 20 weeks at the ultrasound, so the recording was great to show him.
