Have you looked at the Bykenhulle House in Hopewell Junction, NY?  It’s perfect for an intimate wedding.  You have to bring in an outside caterer, but the dining area and gardens are gorgeous.  Talk to Jackie; she’s a sweetheart.

I also LOVE Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie.  I think you can do up to 150p, but it works great for smaller groups, too.  Beautiful gardens and you choose your own caterer.  (Photos on the website doesn’t do it justice.)

Not sure if it’s technically inside the Hudson Valley, but you might check out the Wake Robin Inn in Lakeville, CT.  It can only accommodate small groups, so you don’t have to make a large guest minimum.  The owners are super nice and it’s a beautiful spot.

Hope this helps!

Try Shadowcliff in Nyack – it is the headquarters of the Fellowship of Reconciliation  – right on the Hudson River

i would recommend the Highlands Country Club, in Garrison.  http://www.highlandscountryclub.net/privateevents.html  the venue is GORGEOUS, the pricing is so reasonable, and the people who run it are so nice.  I would have loved to have my wedding here, but it wasn’t practical to ship everyone up from NYC (lots of traveling family).  This is a truly beautiful place, though.

So I know this place at the outset looks like a typical wedding hall, but this lounge/dining room space that was added/done in 2009 (according to the website) looks awesome for a small wedding!

I’m pretty sure with 60, you could def have room to dance and for a DJ.

Another couple of B&B suggestions:

The Bird & Bottle: http://www.thebirdandbottleinn.com/weddings

The Plumbush Inn: http://www.plumbushinn.net
