So I’m getting married Sept 18th and we go on our honeymoon Sept 27th to Nassau, Bahamas. I’m incredibly worried about what is going to happen since it’s been raining and there have been hurricaines going on around there. Someone tell mother nature to KNOCK IT OFF!

I’m a Florida gal and this will be the 3rd year in a row that the hurricanes have taken it easy on us (knock on wood for the rest of this season)… Those hurricanes change course in a moments notice… Nassau is only 50 miles from Miami and the most we’ve seen here is some rain. Even so, the rain doesn’t last longer than 30 minutes before the sunshine comes right back out. Don’t fret… you’ll have great weather! Stay positive!! 🙂

Yay, thanks for the information! I’m trying to stay positive, but it’s hard when all my friends call up freaking out about my honeymoon and everything. I think I’m just going to start ignoring everyone.

Um, I came back from the Bahamas yesterday. The weather was GORGEOUS!! I swear, I kept looking at the weather forcast and it kept saying: rain, wind etc. BUT it was fabulous. It rained a couple of days, for like 5mins or so. Not even heavy showers. The water was beautiful, the weather was nice. I can’t say enough things.

We honeymooned in Jamaica and almost every day at some point we would see giant black clouds and maybe even hear thunder and then 10 minutes later it would be sunny and gorgeous again! Islands have weather that changes very quickly so I wouldnt worry too much!

We’ll keep our fingers crossed that you have nothing but blue skies and sunshine. But in the event it doesn’t work out that way, please be sure to get some travel insurance.
Have a great trip!
