@madteaparty:  We went everywhere we could think of today – Target, Walmart, Kmart… all were exactly like that picture…  We’re just filling up bottles and pitchers and hoping for the best! Stay safe, I always err on the side of caution!

Stay safe, bees!

I don’t think we are prepared at all.  A little but it ignorant to the whole thing Since its never been this bad before.  IM a mile from the schuylkill river so we are a bit worried.

i had to explain to my boss what a state of emergency was since she lives over in new mexico and quite didn’t understand that I am not allowed to drive into the office Until its lifted.

I’m way inland east coast, and we are under a wind adversiory from the storm… crazy how much is effected by the storm. I’m keeping everyone who is in the area to be in my thoughts!!!

Oh, and I saw a girl on my FB talking about how Sandy is going to be smaller than everyone expected. She’s from where I’m from in Tennessee where we lived in a valley with no weather…. she’s never been in a hurricane and now she’s in Virginia. :/ She and her hubby and daughter aren’t evacuating… crazy.

I’m on long island , a half a mile away from the shore! I really hope it just dies down a little.

Good luck to all the bees!!

I’ve just been looking at the updated weatherfront.  My thoughts are with East-coast bees.

@Rouquine:  i’m still here! thanks for thinking of me, though. granted this storm is like no other. . .we’ve never had the water come up to the house before. the lagoon is across the street at least. we’ve prepared the best we can! since the brunt of it will be tomorrow night, worst case scenario i’ll head to my parent’s in bayville, but they’re prone to flooding, as well! preparing for the worst and hoping for the best!

DC is all shut down– the government, metro, schools, everything. Unfortunately, FI’s office isn’t closing and he can’t really work from home. I am hoping he doesn’t go in.

We have some wind and rain, but it isn’t bad yet. The temp has dropped quite a bit and no one is on the roads. We know it is coming, but for now it is just a long wait.

@MASPA:  I’m close to the Schuylkill. Luckily, we’re uphill  so we’re never personally affected when it floods, but the river usually does wreak havoc on my commute.

I’m in Ontario, and we’re supposed to get the winds/rain/snow. I’m pretty nervous since Fiance is working 10 hours away and probably won’t make it home since he isn’t off until Tuesday and the highway is closed due to flooding that happened three days ago. The town where the flooding happened is already under a state of emergency, so hopefully they’ll be able to recover before the next storm hits.
