He bought a ring, he’s going to pick it up, you know he’s going to propose….try to focus on all the positives instead of the negative. Natural disasters happen, life happens, disappointments happen. People affected by this storm have much bigger issues to deal with and honestly, I’m not sure what there is to be disappointed with since this is a minor delay, nothing more.

Stay positive and enjoy the anticipation! πŸ™‚

Bah!  It’s a great story, I look at it like this:  It literally took a hurricane of cataclysmic proportions to keep that man from asking you to marry him….and it only delayed him a little bit anyway, so he loves the hell outta you!

That stinks, but there’s nothing you/he could’ve done about it. like others said, at least you know he’s going to propose πŸ™‚

“How do I continue to wait patiently for something that should have already happened?”

Just think about all the people who are still living without homes, or heat and power, or basic necessities, and then instead feel lucky to have your health and then you should probably feel a little embarassed for signing this “screwed by Sandy” as it sounds you haven’t really thought about what it really means to get screwed by a natural disaster. You’re definitely entitled to feel down that it didn’t happen when you wanted, but have a little sensitivity.

Sheesh!!

Maybe something reallly bad would have happened during his proposal if it had happened as planned?? Seriously, whenever I’m late to work or something, I think about what my mother always tells me “well, maybe if you’d been on time you would have gotten hit by bus!”

So yeah, pretend that if he HAD proposed, you would have gotten hit by a bus πŸ™‚

There are a lot of bees here that lost so much more.  I find this thread very rude.

You should sell the ring and donate the proceeds to the Hurricane…for people who REALLY got screwed by Sandy.  (ETA what does that mean, donate to the Hurricane?  geez Peach.)  I MEAN: DONATE THE PROCEEDS TO THE RELIEF EFFORT.

Okay I don’t really think you should, but seriously?  Have you SEEN the pictures of the devastation from the storm?  People are still without power…and you’re complaining because of an awesomely positive event?
