Anyone else on the East Coast following this storm? Sounds like it may get scary here in the Northeast.

@arsing89: im not on the east coast but I follow this stuff because it interests me. I hope it doesn’t get too bad for you all
I LOVE storms so I’m excited for it. I don’t expect it to be like Hurricane Katrina or anything.
I am in Florida I will feel the effects but I am not in the “cone” but we know these storms are so unpredictable. I suggest preparing like you will be a direct hit lots of water and non-pershable foods, batteries, flash light, candles, etc. I prepare everytime to be safe. I hope the storm just goes northwest and stays!!!!!
Yea have been tracking it for a few days since my dad dabbles in meterology (my family has weird hobbies haha). Hoping it’s not as bad as they’re saying and I will keep myself prepared for the worst, but I’m in NYC and after all of the hoop-la over Hurricane Irene I am skeptical.
Our sixth graders are supposed to go to Philly on Monday to go to the Zoo…looks like the trip will be cancelled! I hope it doesn’t get too bad in Central PA (where we live) because I have to drive 20 miles on the highway to work. I hate highway driving in bad weather.
When we had ours, there were no signs. and my brother looked out the door and saw the funnel cloud.. its scary.. theres not suppose to be tornados in pa…(at least in my head)
Last year we had this same freak storm leave my whole entire state (about 99% of us) with no power for a week or more. Such a coincidence this is happening again exactly a year later. I hope it doesn’t affect us too much.
