This really sucks. My husband and I took a drive earlier and it’s just a mess around here. My heart goes out to those much closer to the shore. I couldn’t possibly imagine my home under water.

Sending more love and prayers that all the Bees affected by this storm are safe.
power back on in Milford, NJ, after only 24 hours out, thank you JCPL!
tomrrow I can hopefully get to my house in Morris County and assess the damage from the tree hitting my house, that was listed for sale on Friday….oh well, it’s not the end of the world, and no one was hurt
if what hit us was a Cat 1 hrricane, what the hell is a cat 4 or 5 like?
I just switched to American news after catching the local channel. I saw the mayor of Hoboken asking for the national guard to come. She was saying how there are many people stuck in their homes, running out of food.
Were these areas not evacuated? If they were, why would so many people stay, including people with babies? SMH
Hopefully the insurance claims are fast tracked for all of those who need it! My thoughts are with you all!
Our house made it out pretty unscathed. Just lost some shutters and shingles. I was supposed to start my new job this past Monday but its been postponed til next Monday at least. Ughhh I need a paycheck!
So glad to see you bees are doing okay. The pictures look horrid. 🙁
Just wanted to update on the blizzard with a photo. This is what all of our surrounding areas look like. But where we live right in town it doesn’t look like this outside of our home.
Thanks for explaining that for me. I’m a bit of a noob where everything is in America. My partner and I got really confused.
I’m located in southern NJ (closer to philly, not the beach) and we were fine. Lots of rain and wind, some down trees nearby, but nothing too bad. Luckily we had power the whole time and no basement flooding. Thank God.
Hey everyone, hope you are all safe. Just checking in. We needed to evacuate yesterday morning, but are now with my in-laws in South Jersey (they thankfully have power and running water!) We were in a second floor apt building, so luckily, our apt stuff was fine. Our car (and all of our neighbor’s cars) was completely flooded. Harrowing experience…
Hope the rest of you are alright.
No power here in central/western nj ( Hunterdon county). Cold , dirty, and cranky! But everyone I know is safe.
