Hey everyone!

I’m in Queens, NY with no power.  Thankfully, we have a fireplace and hot water.  Our entire neighborhood is out of power and I’ve heard 90% of Long Island is, too.

I’m at work today – charging phones and laptops, but without power and internet at home, it won’t really be of much help.  Got to work by car today, heard the roads were terrible so I left super late and will be going home super late.  My job is charging us vacation days for these days, so.. yea.  🙁

Will be staying late at work today – there’s TONS to catch up on anyway.  *sigh* What a disaster..

But, I’m counting my blessings.  I’m ONLY out of power.  Things could have been a lot worse.

I have so many childhood memories of Seaside Heights and watching the news is so heart-breaking. I’m at my mother-in-law’s house. She has power here. Now I’m told we may not have power until Monday, but it seems so minor to me as i sit here watching these people on tv who literally lost their homes.

Stay strong everyone! Let’s be there for each other.

Hello bees,

Hoping everyone is doing well! Thankfully, we are ok, however, SO and his family are having a hard time because they haven’t had power for a week now, I went to visit his place, and it is ICE COLD at their place, and with temps dropping lower and lower idk :/ and his mother has a medical condition so I only pray that their power will be restored soon. It’s just a bit frustrating because 95% of his town has their power restored, but once entering the area where he lives, it is complete pitch black.

I know there are many others who have lost literally everything :(, and that’s what breaks my heart even more. I can’t help but cry when I see people on the news/tv cry out for help because they lost family members, their homes, their cars, their lives and memories made in their homes that they worked so hard for. 🙁

Hoping you all are safe and sound. x
