My husband and I are planning a trip end Sept/beginning October to get some scuba diving in. We are hopefully going to start TTC either on this trip or immediately after 🙂 I was looking for advice on places to go then. Leaning toward Bermuda or the Florida Keys. I feel like Bermuda is the safer bet weather wise, so if anyone has gone and has any tips feel free to share! It will be a fairly short trip which is why we aren’t considering Hawaii this time around.
Thanks in advance!

I am currently planning a trip too and don’t know where to go on travels in September. I’d be appreciated if someone suggests good options. Where are good beaches and affordable vacation packages?

Curacao has amazing diving and it is considered a hurricane safe harbor. And the water will be a lot warmer than Bermuda (which I have heard is meh unless you are super into wrecks).

We booked to go to Bermuda in October since it’s Zika free and we are ttc at the moment. It is probably safer from hurricanes too. We’ve never been, but I’ve heard really great things. We got an Airbnb.

sunsetsnmargaritas : Bermuda has over 200 wrecks so you are garunteed to have a good scuba experience. As far as hurricanes, Sept/Oct is the season but Bermuda is very blessed that it hardly has hurricanes come near. Being Zika free is another bonus! also if you are on the east coast its a quick flights less than 2hrs from JFK and 1 hr flight from Boston. Also the water temp would be high 70s during those months.

I’ve been to Bermuda several times. It’s a gorgeous island and from what I understand, the hurricane risk is less than other islands. Bermuda is literally one of my most favorite vacations to go on. Darling Husband and I plan to take a babymoon there if I can ever get preggers!

I think Bermuda would be just fine, although keep in mind it’s pretty expensive compared to other destinations. I would make sure to purchase travel insurance just in case but Bermuda hasn’t really been hit by a hurricane since 2003. I live in a hurricane prone area and I’d feel fine going to Bermuda in the fall.
