amberlane124 :  Can the nanny accompany you to the appointment? My sister was a nanny to a work-from-home mom, and she used to tag along when the mom ran an errand. She didn’t mind getting out of the house for a bit.

It bugs me when women say “My husband won’t let me.” How does he intend to enforce this “won’t letting”? It’s probably more accurate that your husband would prefer that you not leave the baby with the nanny, in which case, like many have already stated- you could leave the baby with her damn father, you could take the nanny and the baby along with you or you could hear what he has to say and do whatever you want to do anyway.

If you were hoping for some commiseration about your husband “not letting” you do stuff, you came to the wrong place. You should, instead, say “I let my husband make asinine rules and would rather complain about them to internet strangers than tell him to get bent and do my thing.”

Hand the baby to her father and go get your damn pedicure.

I’m so confused. Who has a Nanny and doesn’t get to leave the house? Isn’t that the point?

You sound like my sister in law. She has to hide her getting her nails done because her husband will get mad she is spending money.

She isn’t a nanny then? More like a house keeper? Sorry your husband doesn’t let you go out :/

amberlane124 :  Ummm so what would happen then if you had to attend an appointment for the doctor etc? Your husband doesn’t trust the nanny but isn’t around to help? Surely even on the weekend you could go and he could stay home with the baby. Sounds super controlling to me.

Your an adult. Its called go get your nails done and then just tell him after.. What is he going to do lock you in the house…

He needs to get over it, if your the one at home with the nanny all day then your the one who gets to make the rules, not him.
