Hello!
My fiance is from Ecuador. He has no family in the United States. We tried to get his family to come to our wedding but they were denied their visitor visa! Now my fince will literally not have a single family member at our wedding! I’m planning to live stream parts of the wedding and surprise him with some prerecorded videos. Any other ideas? I feel awful ๐

I don’t have any advice but I just want to tell you how sorry I am this is happeneing, on every possible level. Is it possible for you to have a second wedding down there for his family? I am so sorry Bee. This isn’t fair. ๐

shxbm : Thanks for your kind words ๐ We just came from Ecuador, so we won’t be doing another trip soon. He just really wanted them to see this country and our house and our life here. It’s very sad. But my family loves him and will take good care of him. Immigration isn’t fair ๐

Did they give a reason? I know sometimes there’s an issue with the electronic fling for a visa. One of our guests was denied a visitor visa too. It sucks so much. Ours didn’t have time to re file.

So sorry bee ๐ It seems like once the first person gets here, they make it hard on the rest of the family. Because the rest of the family must want to stay here permanently! So arbitrary!!!

Will he go back to Ecuador while you do a CR1 visa or did you do a K1? My fiancé did not get his K1 approval so I’ll go to his country to get married- without a single person in my family.
Immigration is VERY hard. People think it’s super easy and it’s not.
