Ok, so I’ve had a blast reading the thread about the mom-to-be’s fears, but my husband says some of the funniest stuff that he’s actually worried about and I wanted to see what other peoples’ husbands or significant others are worried about for pregnancy or parenting.
DH thinks I going to squish the baby when I press back against him to make him move. Usually the baby’s butt or head is about 2 inches above my belly button it’s not very comfortable.
DH thinks that if he uses the baby bjorn he will trip and fall on the baby. I tried to explain that at least with the baby bjorn he can break his fall since he’s not holding the baby, but he’s not buying it yet.

@mrstilly: DH barely hugs me in bed b/c he’s scared to hurt me/the baby nowadays. I have that fear of tripping while wearing a baby carrier as well.

My husband doesn’t have too many irrational fears about the baby. He lifts heavy things for me and warns me if we’re out and about and there’s a weird part of the sidewalk, but I think those are gentlemanly things to do for a pregnant lady.
I think he is scared of my heightened senses now. He’s definately scared of my nose and will even light a candle now if he does something smelly so he doesn’t have to hear me walk into the room gagging. And that I’m a bit more sensitive, I tripped the other day and started crying, who knows why, I wasn’t scared I hurt the baby it just startled me and that apparently made me cry, so he’s a bit scared of the sensitivity.

I just asked my husband what his biggest worry was while I was pregnant. He said he was worried birth was going to be like that scene from Dawn of the Dead where the baby zombie rips out of the pregnant lady’s belly. Lol!
