I’ve been busting my butt at the gym trying to lose that last 10. After a month of blood sweat and tears, I’m down 5lbs! Which is awesome when you’re 4’10”. Getting up to go to the gym at 5:30 is not my idea of fun, but I’m so thrilled that it’s paying off.
When I got my dress, I tried it on with a spanx slip, but because of the low back, I will have to lose the spanx for the big day. I’ve still got a little toning to do, but feel so motivated.
Just wanted to send out some good fitness vibes to the hive!

Keep up the good work. Would you mind sharing what you’re doing in the gym?

I’ve been going to the gym 4 times a week. I splurged and got a trainer for half an hour once a week to really push me on my arms since they’re totally my problem area. I had already been doing 30 Day Shred, but needed to get over the dread plateau. Here’s the routine we concocted.
45min-1hr on the treadmill. 5 min warm up at 3.5mph, 10 min run at 5.1, then increase the intensity at 4.1mph every 5 mintues till I get to the highest level, then run the last 5 min at 5.5 before cool down. I drip with sweat by the time it’s done.
20 min arms – 3 sets of 30 Curls, Kickbacks, shoulder press, and two things I do laying down that I dont know the name of at 5lbs, then the “pull up” machine, and some other machine that kills my triceps
15 min abs – situps and several other things I don’t know the names of.
As for “diet”, I’ve done WW before, so I’m kinda following the Core Plan. The biggest changes I’ve made was outlawing booze and cheeze – my favorites.

Woohoo! 5lb. on 4’10” is pretty awesome. I’ve been lifting to try to get Michelle Obama arms by the wedding, now one and a half weeks away. I’m not quite Michelle, but I can definitely see results and I’ve got some tone for the first time in my life. I’m really excited!
