I am having a second reception in my home town (got married out of town) this weekend, and I’m having one heck of a time finding anything that isn’t Dahlias, Daisy’s or Lilys right now. =(
Originally I wanted Peionies…last time I was in my towns great big famers market, they had oodles of them, but I found they are now out of season, so I stopped at my local florist to play around with some other flowers and fell in love with the Hydrange and stock combo….Litterally I just need 16 stems of hydrangeas and 16 stems of stock….but who knew they would be so hard to find wholesale!!!
Anyone know where I could find such flowers on short notice? Throw me a bone bees.

I’m not sure if your hometown is Houton (as posted next to your date), but I googled local wholesale distributors in that area and came up with a couple you could call:
Taylor Wholesale Florists:
Greenleaf Wholesale Florists:
- 2112 Leeland Avenue, Houston, TX 77003
- (713) 223-0299

Thanks, It wasn;t easy to find a wholesale florist that will work with the public but I did find one that is open to the public for limited hours this friday!! Just in time for my party on Saturday!! Hopefully I can keep the blooms fresh until saturday evening. I do have a very cool basement and will keep them in plenty of water.
At my actual wedidng, I went to the florist the day before my wedding and she already had my flowers cut and in water…and they were still perfect at the wedding. I know hydrangeas can be harder to deal with.

@fresitachulita: Great news! The flowers should be fine Friday until Saturday evening, especially in a cool basement. I’m sure it’ll work out for you! 🙂
