I’m interested too!  I’ve contacted a lady who runs a class locally, but I haven’t really learned more than a google search tells me.  Interested in the replies!

@Mrsluckywife:  I was born hypnobirthed! So I suppose I have experience in it!!! My mum trained with a tape that played hypnotic piano music and someone pricked her finger to test if she could feel it and she couldnt feel a thing! She loved it and went through labour with no pain meds. She highly recommends it  🙂

@Mrsluckywife:  It is my pleasure. My Mum has often used hypnotherapy since then and my husband used it to overcome food phobias. At the moment I use it every night before I sleep to stop my teeth grinding. My hypnotherapy teacher self hypnotised before he had an operation with no pain relief, you can read about it here- >

I am hoping for a BFP soon and would be very keen to hear about who you end up going with as this is something I would love to practice in labour. My Mum said it was amazing when she gave birth to me as she was so “present” while it was happening and was able to feel it happening, but not feel the pain if that makes sense.

Anyway, very keen to hear about your experience.

I’ve heard from many mommas that it is wonderful up until about 7cm, after that I think it doesn’t matter what style of coaching you are using. I have seen many mommas deliver many babes and I think it just really depends on what you prefer for coaching. As I first time mom I would say to try as many different methods as you can to see what clicks for you. Be open minded, you may surprise yourself once you start labor as to what you prefer.
