@MrsWe:  Same here: I was a good 3 paragraphs into an email to a photographer to inquire about rates and availability when I caught myself.

backspace, backspace, backspace…

A possible venue spot of ours got flooded in 2011, and they are just now back into being open to the public, and I was curious if they were hosting weddings or not, so I sent an email. Not expecting the guy to call me back instead of emailing me, and now I’m avoiding his phone call because I don’t know what to say to him haha.

@MrsWe:  Um… I TOTALLY priced a venue a few months ago! 😛 It was the perfect location and had no rates online so you better believe I emailed them. HA! Good thing too… cause it looked cheap but is WAAAAY expensive. Better I know now than dream up the perfect wedding there.

@cirk:  LOL Yeah.. that venue I just mentioned keeps calling me too!! Like every couple weeks there’s some lady asking if I want to set up a tour! EEK! I finally emailed them and said we found someplace else! HAHAHA

@MexiPino:   I should have never emailed him. But I’m assuming by how much he’s calling me that the venue is available again for renting! I should tell him we’ve found somewhere else. But I have a weird last name, and i think he’d remember it if in a few months, I’m calling to actually book the location!

I went to a bridal show last year with my best friend (i was her MOH), and put down my info on some things, that were for draws. Of course the company takes the info and uses it to try to get you to take their things right? For months after the bridal fair, i was getting calls from photographers and caterers and cake makers and just everything! My Boyfriend or Best Friend eventually asked me if there was a wedding he didn’t know he was partipating in!

Oh, I have a list of future costs associated with my (probable) venue, and have already looked through the menus of all their preferred caterers. Ha! I also have (custom) invites picked out that we will probably get even though they are pricey..

I’m also not engaged yet.. And have also picked out several diamonds in case my SO needs help..Which I really hope he does ask for when the time comes, because I’m not sure I trust him to get the best deal! Ha! Really I’m trying to save HIM money though..right?

I’m a crazy person!

@MrsWe:  LOL Just call them! What could it hurt? Just make sure the boy doesn’t find out!

Been there, done that.  I’ve emailed probably about 5 venues to find out cost information so I know what we’re looking at budget wise.  Nice to know I’m not the only one.  I haven’t gone in to tour any venues yet though, I feel like I’d be wasting their time since we’re not engaged yet.

I’m cheating when it comes to venues and things. My boss is getting married in Novemeber, and she keeps telling me what she’s planning and how much it costs. I also have a friend getting married in July, and she keeps telling me her stuff too. I don’t have to price anything. Muwhahahaha.

Oh my god! Good to know I am not the only one. I got a ring sizer sent through and some brochures for venues which I had to very subtley hide / recycle without the boy seeing! Doh.
