My BFF got engaged (yay!!!) and I am going to be a bridesmaid! I am so freakin excited! I have never been a bridesmaid before 😀 Her wedding will be next september. Any tips or suggestions for a long distance bridesmaid? We live about 300 miles apart…

Just keep in touch with her and see if she needs any help researching for her vision.

Yay! At this point, I’d just say listen to her if she wants to talk about wedding stuff. As the date gets closer, you can offer to help out with things she needs that can be done from afar. And start saving up a little money so you can travel to her shower and/or bachelorette if need be!

thanks ladies! yeah, we are far apart but still BFFs and talk frequently. she knows my obsession with wedding planning and that I am so excited and will help with anything, no matter how small or big! I will keep asking and reminding her though!
Traveling expses are not a problem but good thinking! I also have family where she lives so I can visit once a month for the next year and very much so justify it 😀

Yay!!! One of my childhood friends just got engaged and asked me to be maid of honor in her wedding and like you I was like “ummm what am I supposed to help her with” lol. I pretty much am just letting her do what she needs to do and when she needs help, thats when i will come in. I dont want to overbear her with anything. Its so awesome being able to help your friend with their wedding! I cant wait until their big day!!

Yay! It’s so exciting being in a wedding! My best friend from college got married in Wyoming and I live in New Husband. The distance thing was hard but like everyone said we talked alot. She planned a simple wedding and didn’t want a bachorlette party or anything. I flew out a week before the wedding and helped with decorations, flowers ect and basically took charge till the big day. Even though it was simple it did work out and was beautiful plus I had a chance to bond with the other bridesmaids as we worked together decorating. Good luck and have fun!
