Oh no!  You killed it!  That’s why I can’t have plants.  Pets I can remember at least.

Sad! I can’t even keep cacti alive, so I can totally relate.

lmao I am a fellow horrible plant mother. Plant services will come take our plants away. My mother is amazing with them, that’s a gene I didn’t get.

Add me to the bad plant-mother club! Fiance just got me a poinsettia and it’s dying already! I have no idea how much to water it…and I always forget because I get home from work so late.

I did have some success with bamboo a few years ago. It stayed alive at least 4 months ๐Ÿ™‚

Exactly!  Well certain pets, when I was younger I did happen to forget to feed my hamster and it died…  But it wasn’t my fault!  Someone should have reminded me!

Haha, don’t worry. Every few days (3 is usually best) check the soil moisture by putting your fingers on the top. It should feel cold and moist but not clammy or wet. And don’t overwater your bamboo because you forgot to water it once. It’s how I keep my plants and between me and FH we kept a dying basil plant alive for well over 6 months and a mint plant started taking over our kitchen! Both of them were repotted and put outside – the mint was still going until the snowfall recently – it’s been a year!

there’s a half-dead bamboo on my work desk too..but in my defense it was dead before I got here! I can’t seem to revitalize the poor thing..

Hehe, there is a thing out there called the Aero Garden that tells you when you need to water it, give it nutrients, etc. ๐Ÿ™‚

I somehow gave our hibiscus a fungus (yes eww) and so my fiance kicked it out of the house. I felt quite bad.
