After much debate between the Dagen and the Planeta, primarily over how low the Dagen sat on my hips and the puff factor of the Planeta I have gone with the Planeta. There was only one shop in England that appeared to have a sample (located 3 hours away), so I had the dress couriered in. It was a bit of a chore, but last Saturday I made my choice and put the deposit down.
However, despite putting the deposit down, I still felt unsure and have been umming and ahhing all weekend! I think I’m just very nervous. I am assuming this indecisiveness is normal. Here is a photo of me in the Planeta, apologies that it is small it was taken on my iphone. Are there any other Planeta 2013 brides out there who felt the same as me?
Regarding alterations, I think I am going to dee-puff the skirt by taking out a couple of layers of tulle, add buttons to the back and slightly lower the V on the neck line, oh and add a satin ribbon sash with a front side bow.
Thoughts… and photos please.

I tried Planeta, but I needed more length on the waist, which is why I plumped for Dagen! I put the deposit down on Saturday! They are extremely similar dresses, so that’s why I love this on you! It doesn’t look too poufy? Perhaps a little more than the Dagen, but Minot huge by any stretch of the imagination!

U have just described my exact situation!!! I just put down the deposit for the Planeta and now I am debating if I should’ve gonne with a less puffy, and more defined dress at the bottom, I was in between Planeta and all lace less puffy dress……
The thing is when I tried them both on I instantly decided Planeta was for me because it has that wow factor…. maybe it’s just nerves!!!

@2013septemberbride: It’s weird eh, when I get better photos I’ll post them. I seriously think it’s nerves. Getting married is such a stressful thing, all we’re doing is arguing at the moment and I’m just getting stressed by the amount of things that have to be sorted. It just seems immense. Is there a post for stressed planeta bride!? x

@Bridey2B: I loved the Dagen too, it’s a very good price compared to the Planeta. This season’s retail price on the Planeta is £1900, whilst the Dagen is £1100. The shop honoured last year’s Planeta price for me of £1720 and then I had 15% off for buying it on a trunk show weekend, so I got it for around £1470. I’m just naturally very short in the body and have big hips compare to my waist, so I had to rule the Dagen out in the end. I was so torn between the two, but my theme is vintage, so in the end I went for the vintage tulle ball gown. 🙂
