@Firefighter13:  im getting married in a few weeks. i accidentally let slip what i planned to get fi as a present – its a track day racing lamborghinis and ferraris and what not near the wedding. we cant do it where we live, and hes a big car fan (loves top gear and car shows etc) so i thought he;d love it

he was initially really excited, but then told me i shouldnt be spending that much on him and i shouldnt do it

does that mean i *really* shouldnt do it? or he does want it hes just embarrassed about the cost (he saw it on the webpage)

@Firefighter13:  Great idea!! I have a question…I happen to know that my SO is starting to look for a ring for me, but he has no idea that I am aware of it. I have been a bad waiting bee and tried on a couple gorgeous rings over my lunch hours and I really have found my dream ring which I don’t think is way over budget. Is there any way to let SO know that, firstly, I know he is looking and, secondly, that I have found one I love? I really don’t want to spoil anything for him though so I have said nothing so far. Do some guys really just want to handle the whole ring thing completely on their own?

@LilMsMicro:  I think the point is so we can ask for a guys perspective on something that maybe we don’t want to discuss with our own Fiance…

To answer a PP, I think he was more directing it towards the waiting bees…

Anyway, WHY do men think it’s funny when they leave the seat up and you don’t realize?

@sillysillybee:  I’m not a guy but I def feel you could sweetly tell him it’s information you feel could help him. Like maybe just tell him once, make it quick & let it be that. 🙂

@Coral99:  Haha! Yes I know exactly what you mean…if i told him it would def only be once and I’d leave it at that. But the problem is that he doesn’t know that I am aware he is even looking yet and even though we agree we will one day get married and are on the same page all the way,  I feel like he wants it to be one big MASSIVE surprise. Like he’ll say things like, “oh one day when u get your ring…”as if its far off but I know he’s looking NOW and I really don’t want to spoil anything for him…ya know? I could just leave it alone and trust that he will get a lovely one I guess…he does have good taste.
