What if you wore a short heel? One or two inches? they make really pretty ones with tiny heels, that would still keep you shorter than him.

Either that or tell him get over the LDS and embrace it, its not how tall he is it’s how he uses it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Actually I broke up with someone for that, I’m 5″9 and when I wore heels it made me taller then him. I think your Fi needs to get over it. I’m a girl and I like my heels and I refuse to give them up for someone else’s ego. Can you talk to him about it? In the meantime maybe buy kitten heels, I hate wearing formal dress with flats most of the time it doesn’t look right.

I have the same problem! We went to a military ball recently and I felt so dorky in a nice gown with flats. I think the best thing to do is just make sure the flat shoes that you do get are super cute.

For my bachelorette party I am wearing a pair of super tall platform heels, because it’s pretty much my last chance!

I have a pretty regular girls night (once a month) and I have a TON of Heels just for that once a month ๐Ÿ™‚ and By The Way Fi is shorter than me without me wearing heels lol. You can still find times to wear them ๐Ÿ™‚

Kitten heels are cute and give you the same posture as higher heels.

he will get over it! plus your tall, you dont need to wear heels, consider yourself lucky!

my mother is 5″9 and my father is 5″2, seriously. she never wore heels because shes wa taller than him already, at the age of 50 she realized that this was just silly and just wore heels. It looks fine, not a big deal at all. plus, a lot of women are taller than their s/o’s ! Especialy will tall heels on.

Everyone gets upset over silly stuff sometimes – don’t feel bad!

Agree with PPs, both about talking to your Fiance about it and about finding some kitten heels. I’m a kitten heel girl myself (due to how often I embarrass myself when I wear high heels) and there are some super cute short heels out there.

My Fiance and I are the same height. I wear heels anyway to formal events – he doesn’t care (or if he does he doesn’t say anything). Maybe just tell him you like the feel of the heels, sure he will understand.

I feel your pain. I’m the same height as my SO…and I looooove my heels. Fortunately it doesn’t bug him if I’m taller than him but sometimes I don’t want to be. There are actually a lot of great low-heeled shoes, it just takes some time to find them. Otherwise, tell him to get over it: you look hot, he’s with you, by default that makes him look like a stud!
