I think most salons will have the new collections in their stores by the end of August or early September.  It might be worth waiting another month to check out the new styles.  Otherwise, I would try to visit a few different salons that might carry other designers than you have already tried.  Good luck!

I believe end of August is when we can expect to start seeing new styles hit, although it might take a little longer still for stores to stock them, so maybe September.

Not sure when the new styles will hit, but I want to tell you that it’s okay if you never have a ‘moment’ with a dress. I never did, and I tried on over a hundred dresses (no exaggerations).

What worked for me was figuring out what I liked about some dresses, and finding common elements – for me that meant vneck, straight ruching (not assymetrical), a line, dropped waist – and then finding a dress with all of them.

Also, don’t be afraid to try on things you don’t think you’d like. I never expected to like the look of a dropped waist, since I have a very high natural waist, but it turned out that I loved it on myself.

Look online too because you won’t find all of the styles in the stores!

Good Luck!

I just bought a dress for next year from the Ella Rosa pre-Spring collection, I think a lot of designers have come out now with some early 2011 dresses and more should be out at the end of Summer or early Autumn.
