I’m sorry you are going through this. It sounds to me like a chemical pregnancy. If this is the case you should get your period as usual, same amount of bleeding and cramps. If you never tested you would have never known you were pregnanct so you shouldn’t see many other symptoms. I would still talk to your doctor because you want to figure out why this happened especially if it ever happens again.
A couple years back, I had a miscarriage. I had a positive pregnancy test, and then the next few tests were negative. I had super sore breasts, then they got less sore. When I started bleeding, there was a good amount of clotting, but I had lots of cramps, and there was a lot of blood. It really felt a lot like a period to me.
Fingers crossed that you don’t miscarry!
Thank you ladies for the info!
I will keep you posted on whats going on.
@saida27: This sounds exactly like my miscarriage. I had a positive the day my period was due. My blood test was 12 I think, started bleeding lightly one week therafter, and very minimal cramping. I thought they were supposed to be painful, so I was very confused… I’m so sorry for your loss, I hope it’s just too early. Please update us!
I don’t think this warrants a visit to the ER. If its it not meant to “stick”, its not meant to be, there is not much you can do. Just wait it out, and see what happens with your symptoms. I had a MC at 5 weeks, I only knew I was pg for 3 days at that point (I tested a few days after AF was missed). Then, all of a sudden, I started heavy bleeding, like AF, but a bit more heavy, lasted like a normal AF for about 6 days. I just let it pass naturally as its too early at that point to really do anything (like D/C). 2 weeks later I had normal O (as far as I could tell) and we resumed TTC… However, if its just light spotting which doesn’t get heavier, it may not be a MC, so you should check it out with a dr.
