Lol. Believe me, I understand. My Fiance loves Star Wars. I purchased a custom peg person cake topper off of etsy, that has our two beloved dogs and Hans Solo and Princess Laya. For his grooms gift I’m surprising him with cuff links, also from etsy, that say “together we will rule the galaxy”. There is also a guy named Fritts Rosenow who makes adorable boutonnières. I didn’t go that route, but he does do very tasteful and different designs. You can look up his stuff.

As a very special surprise to my Fiance, our recessional music is going to be the Imperial Death March from Star Wars. They are just very small touches, but I wanted both of us represented. A vintage themed wedding with burlap and lace just doesn’t scream Star Wars…which is a sigh of relief. He had joked about my wedding dress being the Princess Laya slave girl outfit.

There is so much you can do.  Like in Superman the Fortress of Solitude was all ice.  There are also some amazing superheros that are ice or winter in theme.  Silver Surfer would lok awesome because he is silver and modern.  A few of the X-men are also silver and diamond in color that would work.  T

You can add in socks with the superhero logos, cuff links add a nice pop.  There is alot you can do that adds a lot in that are just tiny objects, like the cuff links 🙂

@FutureMrsJohnston:

Just an fyi, the Fiance and I had talked about the themed undershirts and wanted  to incorporate it into the wedding. Upon further discussion, we figured out that these were probably pre-wedding pics. Generally speaking, unless the guys are buying their tuxes/suits you have thin cheap rental shirts. They could always just purchase higher end shirts, but you would be able to see the bright primary colors through the thin shirts in all the other pics.

We are doing something similar! We are having a vintage country wedding with a superhero twist!

We are doing belt buckles instead of shirts (for the white shirt problem)

I made a coloring book for the kids with each of the bridal party super heros (even the girls)

When asking the bridal party to be the bridal party we gave each person a shirt with their super hero so they can “dress up” for the rehearsal dinner.

I’m making super hero premixed cocktails

And because I was originally planning on doing paper flowers, we are doing some comic book flowers mixed in with the pretty ones.

But I figured with the little touches, it’ll be fun w/o being over the top.  When we get married I’ll be sure to post pictures!

We are having a many comic book parts of our wedding!

We are doing the cufflinks, and sock (target had them on clearence after Christmas it was amazing!)We are planning to do the t-shirts too.  I also made each groomsman a flask with their comic book super hero.  We are planning on having some of the life size cut outs of a few comic book heros for our photo booth too!  And our save the date was a comic book cover 🙂

Sorry these pictures are giagantic I don’t know how to make them smaller.

My bouquet is all paper flowers made out of comic books.  We also did our engagment pictures in a comic book store, and dressed up (since we dress up for comic cons sometimes) it was so much fun, plus it was just more us.  I know we have some family that doesn’t understand but all our close family and friends love it because it is us.

@FutureMrsJohnston:  Go for it!  Everyone LOVES that picture!  It was a huge hit.  Even my mom got it printed and she was not thrilled about the comic book elements at first lol

HA my Fiance is also a massive comic book nerd (we aren’t having a comic book wedding) however this is what he’s picked for his wedding ring. And i think we are getting a batman wedding cake.

@FutureMrsJohnston:  Superhero theme??? Awesome. My fiance had a Halloween wedding planned with Cap. America and Thor wedding cake topper and were going to dress up as them post reception and go out on the town. Sadly, that ended up not happening…. we opted for Scotland instead. But man… go full superhero (if you can) so much fun.
