We are having burgers as a menu option too. Got some slack from the future in laws but we don’t care 🙂

@amy.finden:  Stick to your guns.  It’s your wedding, do what you think it fun/memorable.  To give you an idea where I’m coming from…

We have a popular local pizzaria bringing a portable wood fired oven to our reception and they will be cooking neopolitan style pizza on the spot.

We will have rosemay bread (that you can dip in olive oil and black pepper) and salads from another local place.

We will be providing my own best Mac & Cheese in the WORLD (I normally do not toot my own horn, but this stuff is amazing and easy to pre-prep) and fresh fruit.

Drinks will be bottled Coke and Sprite, water, three various quality microbrew beers, a few wines, juice, and coffee.  My Fiancee also may make some kind of mixed drink, we’re not sure on that yet (we don’t want people getting too tipsy).

My “Magnum” bottle will be filled with… yes… Cherry Coke.

I wish I was brave enough to do this! (Or my mom would let me!) I totally wanted classic foods (burgers, fries, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese), but my event is too fancy so we are having italian (which probably fits since that’s all we ever eat when we go out).

Our venue is a hotel that doesn’t allow outside caterers, but we chose their “American Diner” menu for our informal afternoon reception… We are on a tight budget in a large metro area and it is a great deal for us. People keep asking how we can afford our wedding at this particular place because they expect the $140 plated dinner. Once we explain what we’re doing, they are so relieved!

Our menu:

Mini ground sirloin sliders

Mini pulled pork on brioche

Mini Reubens with sauerkraut

Mini grilled cheese

Tater tot cones

Crispy onion straws

Strawberry, chocolate and vanilla milkshake shooters

I can’t wait! Your menu sounds better, honestly. Fiance loves him some Fudds! Have a great time.

Seriously, I want to come! My Fiance would be very excited if we got invited to a wedding at a Fudruckers.

My best friend is going to have pizza at her wedding, for over 200 people. Do what you like! 🙂

Sounds delicious!! I’d enjoy that way more than weird food that I wouldn’t eat. I’m a little picky.
