Out of the two gowns I really like the second gown best. The first gown is very pretty but looks really busy, think of it as the human eye needs time to rest, there’s too much going on.

So I voted for the second gown.

I like the first one better! Not a fan of the second one, the hips are awkward  on it IMO

Maybe try on a totally different style than what you had originally liked?

That’s what happened to me and I found my dress 🙂

@loveyou22: OK, hang a sec here. When your friends see the dress, they are seeing it from their own perspective. They are thinking, in some cases, “Would that look good on me?” as opposed to “Would that look good on loveyou22?” Or perhaps they are stuck on one particular element of the dress that happens to catch their eye in a certain way in the photo of the model, or in the photo of you, or on you in person. It is also sometimes hard for people to make the leap into imagining you in your dress on your wedding day with all the accessories, hair and makeup done, and considering your venue, time of day, etc.

Bottom line? If you love it, and YOU can envision walking in it on your day, then get it. You WILL look great because you FEEL great in it, and that kind of energy is contageous…they will all love it, too, because you do. That’s how it works.

So if you think a dress is beautiful, but all your friends think it is just okay… who are you going to listen to? Yourself? The one who will be wearing the dress? The one who sees its beauty and can imagine it in all its glory on the actual day? …Or all your friends?

I think both dresses are gorgeous, and you should go with your gut instinct.

Of the two, I prefer the second. But neither are to my taste. They’re both similar and I think you’ll get the same “it’s okay” reaction from people who don’t like that style in either of them.

I have to be honest and say I’m not a huge fan of either dress, but of the two the second one is MUCH better.

I feel like the first one is very over-the-top with the heavily beaded bodice and super ruffly skirt. It’s a bit much. The 2nd one comes off much more classic because the ruffles are in an orderly pattern and the ornate skirt is offset by the plain bodice.

I like 1 better, but not $6K worth more.

Yeah, I’m having a hard time being objective due to that $6000 price tag. The first one is definitely not $6000 better than the second, IMO.

You have to wear what you love… no ones opinion really matters in the end.  If you can afford it, go for it.  If you will go into debt to get it, that’s also your choice, but I would think you could find a dress you love in your price range.

The second dress is beautiful… it’s how you wear it that makes it stunning.

I don’t love either one, but if I was to choose between the two I’d pick #2.  I don’t feel #1 is worth the price tag.

I like the first one more, but probably not 6000 more.
