@Asia:  Ermagerd!!!!!!!!!! You are better than ne girlfriend, I would be a wreck! It’s so refreshing to see that you are ok and just happy to be getting married. Afterall, that’s what it’s all about.

Wow, you have such an amazing attitude!!! I probably would have given up and called the whole thing off already. If you and your Fiance are dealing with all these crises THIS CALMLY, you’re going to have a wonderful marriage, =).

Big, internet ((((HUGS))))!

Thank you!  To divulge such painful situations.  I too am having a very hard time with my what is now miniscule wedding.  I feel the stress and send power to push pastit, to you.  My new quotes are ” I want a marriage more beautiful than my wedding”  & “A wedding is a party, not a performance.  If at the end of the day you are married to the one you love, the everything went perfectly.”

i feel your pain. This is just some of what we’ve been through-

a. Pushing the wedding date 6 months out because ALL hotels for our original wedding date got booked a year in advance thanks to a college sports event.

b. cake vendor (with 20 years experience) had a nervous breakdown and run off with our deposit.

c. florist did 3 mockups for us for $500 and they were hideous. Like supermarket-flowers-that-a-child-threw-together hideous. We found another florist but had to double our budget as of yesterday, which is another story all in itself.

d. bridesmaids dresses came in and they’re horribly made. the bodices are crooked, the color is off, and the lining doesn’t even match the color of the chiffon overlay. i feel terrible because the girls paid over $300 for each one.

e. i had to kick a college friend bridesmaid out of the wedding, and the friendship between my 2 oldest/closest friends and bridesmaids has fizzled, to my dismay.

f. we had to postpone our honeymoon until April 2014 because Fiance landed a movie.

g. it’s 4 weeks before the wedding and only like 10% of our RSVP’d guests have booked hotel rooms. half the room blocks have expired. We still have people who haven’t RSVP’d and we still can’t even track those people down to get a “no” from them.

and there’s oh so much more to list. I like to joke that if the venue burns down on the day before the wedding, I wouldn’t be surprised. Honestly though, I think all this crap has made my Fiance and mine’s relationship stronger, it’s amazing how well we’ve bonded over other peoples sheer incompetence. Laughing
