Never been to any, but Aruba sounds the most fun! However, if the decision were mine I would go with the most cost-effective for both you and your guests. πŸ™‚ They will all be beautiful and give off the same vibe.

I voted for Costa Rica because I’ve been there before and liked it.  Call me biased. πŸ™‚  I didn’t stay in an all-inclusive resort, though.  So, I could only speak to the possibility that your guests would like to explore the country on their own.  The people are really friendly there and the street “hawkers” (vendors) didn’t seem so aggressive as I what I’ve seen on other tropical islands.  There’s a lot more to do since the country is big–lots of national parks, cities, mountains, surf or calm waters, etc.  I always felt safe there, too.

I’ve heard great things about Costa Rica, that it’s absolutely beautiful. Of course, I’m sure Aruba is too!

I voted for Aruba because I’ve been there and I LOVED it. The beaches are gorgeous and there’s a lot of activites for you and your guests. My sister and I took a 2-hour class and were able to go scuba diving at a shipwreck off the coast the same day. It was awesome!

Barbados is my favourite place in the Caribbean. I haven’t been to the Dominican Rupublic or Costa Rica, but I’ve been many other places in the Caribbean and Barbados wins in my opinion.

Maybe you could check it out and see if it fits your needs.

Aruba has a few all inclusive resorts (much less then that of domincan republic).. there are so many amazing restaurants that sometimes it’s not warranted. But I’m biased my family has been going there since 1999. If you want to know more I’d be glad to talk to you. πŸ™‚

Domincan republic can be a little off putting my cousin went to Punta Cana for her honeymoon and said they had fun, but were sad when they wanted to go on a horseback ride, and people had told them not to leave the resort. I’ve been to both Punta Cana, and Puerto Plata and I had fun in both. For beaches I am partial to Aruba.

I’m sorry.. I must be going on and on.

    Anyways.. good luck!!

I voted Costa Rica because that is where I’m doing my wedding.  We are staying at the Westin Playa Conchal, which is an all inclusive resort.  It has 6 restaurants just inside and is near Tamarindo, which is where I’m assuming you would go for nightlife.  It’s a little over $400 a night (dry season- it might be cheaper in November) for 2 people and that includes everything – alcohol, food, mini-bar, etc. (there are less expensive all inclusives but this is the most well known and is known for having the most beautiful beach in CR) and they have monkeys! They also have horses on property if you want to horseback ride on the beach and classes like sushi making, massage, and scuba which is all free in the inclusive package.  We are doing the beach for the wedding, staying a few days, and then going to Arenal, where the volcano is and staying at a resort there that has your own private balcony overlooking the volcano with a jacuzzi on it.  You also have your own outdoor private 2 person shower.  They offer hot springs and mud baths, which I’m really looking forward to! It’s not all inclusive, but it’s only $200 a night for all of that.  I chose my location because there is so much to do in Costa Rica like was said above. We can do the beach, the rainforest, and a cloud forest all in one trip.  I didn’t go with the planner from the hotel (after what I’ve been through with planning, I wouldn’t hire a hotel planner at any location) and hired my own wedding planner and photographer and the total for the two was $1700.

It was between Belize and Costa Rica for me.

When in November are you getting married? Mid-November is the end of rainy season so everything will be very green.

I voted Dominican. I have never been and I have been looking at doing a Destination Wedding. Every one that I talk to says Dominican is awesome! Just make sure to go to Punta Cana side if you want the nice white sandy beaches. My favorite resort that I have found so far is the Majestic. It looks beautiful!

None of the above, i’m afraid. Personally I’d go to Italy!

I think that Costa Rica sounds really nice.

Aruba makes me think of those women who have gone missing there and it creeps me out a bit; that’s probably weird but it’s the first thing that comes to mind.

I vote Aruba! I looked into going there for our wedding, but the requirements were just too much for us, as well as the travel from Vancouver, BC.  I did not want to put that on our guests.

I have heard that Aruba is gorgeous, and I am sure that no matter where you choose to go, it will be amazing!  It really depends on your budget, and look into the flights as well, just to see how many connections you may have.

We may choose Aruba or Jamaica for our honeymoon! Good Luck!
