Chinese replica? I know a lot of bees have done custom China dresses and gotten something they’re really happy with. Do some searches on the bee. You have plenty of time to have one made with spare time if it doesn’t work out (and typically they are way cheap).

Thats gorgeous. The website says there is a retailer in arizona… might be worth a road trip? And if they don’t have it in stock, maybe they can order it for you. Otherwise, you could find a great local dressmaker?

It’s a very pretty dress, if you feel strongly about it, I’d work on getting more photos of it and find a dressmaker to bring the cost down to your price range.  I think it could be replicated nicely πŸ™‚

Contact the designer directly. Their phone number is on their site.

I had a similar dilemma!  I fell in love with a Sottero Midgley dress online and while a lot of stores carry this line, no one had the specific dress.  I literally called every bridal shop within 4 hours of my mom’s hous as well as my future in-laws!  Many stores offered to order it but I was scared it would come in and I wouldn’t like it, I really wanted to try it on first.  I finally found an amazing bridal shop that ordered it, I put half down, and if I didn’t like it when it came in, I could put my money towards any other dress in their store (which had a great selection). Fortunatly, when it came in 3 weeks ago, I was in LOVE!  Maybe a shop near you will do something like that…it’s a worth a shot to ask! Good luck!! The picture of your dream dress is beautiful!

The only shop that had my designer didnt have my dress. Contact the company and see if the Designer is doing a trunk show and if so have them send the dress in for the trunk show. Thats how they did it for me =]  I completely understand the out of price range but have to have…good luck!!!

If your not comfortable going the chinese replica, what about a good tailor?  It doesn’t look like it’s TOO difficult of a dress (not super elaborate or lacy) I’m sure they could come up with something that looks similar (if not exactly) with a less expensive fabric you could probably get away for quite a bit less than the original.

I had a lot of difficulty locating my dress as well. What worked for me was calling the stores closest to see if they had it, and if they  I didn’t asked them if it was a new dress or if it was from past collections. My dress was brand new so I ended up tracking my dress down at a trunk show in NYC. Also some stores offered to get the dress from the designer for me but it would take a little bit of time.  Overall, for me it was worth it… i tracked down my dress and it was the one
