I adore succulents! I fully intend on using them for just about everything at my wedding (whenever it finally happens haha).
I love how versatile they are in terms of seasonal receptions. They look amazing in summer-themed pieces, and equally lovely in fall bouquets, etc. because they come in such a range of colors, shapes, sizes, and textures.
I am thinking of using them as escort card accoutrement (using a small bit of twine to attach a little tag to a mini terra cotta potted succulent) and doubly as favors. Gotta love the dual-purpose loveliness!

I have made succulent wreaths in the past. You would need to make them ahead of time for your wedding so they “settle in” and the roots have a chance to develop and stabilize the plant.
You get a wire wreath frame . Place it on sheets of moss. Scoop sandy well drained soli into the frame. Fold the moss around the frame and tie it in place with lightweight wire wrapped all around the frame. make holes in the moss and plant the succulents.
This type of wreath can be hung on the outside wall of your house or laid flat on a table . Lay flat to water only occasionally.

Thanks for the info on the wreath. Maybe I’ll have the courage to try it some day.

i’m hoping to be able to do an all succulents and baby breath wedding – i do NOT have a green thumb but I love both budge friendly floral options.
Would you guys consider succulents budget friendly?

I love succulents too, but Fiance isn’t a fan. Off to the drawing board! 🙁

If you’re going to do DIY succulents, then I think they are more budget friendly than going with your florist.
We are planning to do wood boxes and planting our own succulents for centerpieces that double as favors. Each table will have 3 rectangular boxes with different succulents. We found a store about an hour north from where we live that will sell us a flat of 64 assorted succulents for about $1/succulent.
If you want to incorporate succulents into your bouquet, it will get a little more expensive because your florist will need to wire them which increases labor costs. I only plan to have one or two succulents in my bouquet and none in my Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets. Hopefully it won’t be too pricey.

I LOVE these! Suddenly, I’m obsessed with succulents! When we found out that our restaurant can’t accomodate centerpieces and we can’t really afford much of a florist anyway the idea of a single succulent on each napkin is PERFECT!!
Now I want them on my cake, on wreaths, in my bouquet. Around my house afterward!
Any advice on the best place to order them in bulk online?

Love these ideas!! Any advice on the cheapest place to get them or where to order them online?

Love them! I totally wish I had thought to do use them in wedding stuff, especially since they would go great with my updated colour scheme. I love my manzanita, though 🙂
