Ladies, I cannot believe what I have done,so much so I feel like thunping my head on a brick wall, but it wouldnt turn back time,so I decided against it (tempting though)
Well, a few moths ago my mum and I went on a spur of the moment wedding dress hunt, and after feeling uncomfortable in the first three shops we went in I finally found the dress of my dreams, Alfred Angelo 1516 in red.
It is the one and only dress Ive tried on but I fell in love with it,BIG time!! After taking some pictures on my phone (the first big mistake) I went home happy with the thought that Id found “the one”. (Dress and fiance lol)
Sooo,A few days ago,me Fiance and I went out and had a few drinks (ok,ok,maybe I had a few more than I should!) and out came the phone inc.pictures of dress and I showed it to my FI!!Dont say a word ladies, I know, Im embarassed just thinking about it,and cant believe I did it at all!
So now Im in a bit of a pickle,Fiance has said that he wouldnt want to see me in the same dress I showed him(understandable really lol)but I cant see myself wanting any other dress, even though I havnt even tried any others on lol!
Anyone else made a big booboo like this,or is it just me in my own idiocy lol?

what’s more important to you: this dress or granting fi’s wish not to see your dress before the wedding?

Just wear it anyways. I blurry pic on a cell phoen is going to be different then the day of. PLUS he wont remember all the detailing and feeling the dress and seeing you IN IT For real is much different then a pic.

I agree, go ahead and wear it anyway. Your wedding date is pretty far off – I doubt your Fiance would remember all the details by that time anyway.

I agree with the above posters. Guys don’t remember details, especially from a blurry cellphone pic. That dress will be great.

I think a photo is definitely different than seeing you at the end of the aisle with music playing and everyone enjoying the moment. Fiance actually saw a photo of me in my gown before I bought it, he didn’t say anything but he’s not one to get excited about anything unless he really dislikes it. I went on ahead and bought it, because a cell phone photo in a dressing room will be nothing like the full hair/makeup/emotional debut of you in your gown with your loved ones. I wouldn’t stress about it too much.

Wear your dream dress. I guarantee you your Fiance will get over the flub as soon as he sees you coming down the aisle.

not a big deal at all, my Fiance went to choose my gown at the same time. Trying the gown is different from the real day. The day you will put accessories and makeup, you will look totally different.
no worries at all. be happy and you will look great.

Not a big deal at all. He’ll forget the details(think about it, after all the times you’ve looked at your dress, can you draw it out to the detail in your head? I sure can’t…) and it was only a tiny phone pic!

i dont think it is a big deal. but everyone feels differently about this topic. i personally will not let my Fiance see me in person with the dress on until our wedding….BUT i am very indecisive and EVERY dress i tried on, i had to show him the pics…especially when it came down to deciding between two! I showed him the 2 pics and he sat and started and helped me decide! because of his input and what he said, i know i will never regret my choice!!

You’re not even close to stupid, it’s really easy to get caught up in the flurry of wedding dress excitement! You definitely should still wear the dress, especially because your wedding is still 10 months away.

Wear the dress you love! I agree with all the other posters; chances are your Fiance will not remember the details of the dress 10 months from now after seeing a cell phone pick after having a few cocktails. Even if he did, it will be TOTALLY different with your hair & make-up done and the sheer feel of the wedding.
Heck, I’ve put ON my wedding gown for my Fiance a few months ago b/c I just can’t stand not telling him things lol and now? He totally admits that he can’t recall the details and I’m sure on the big dig, he’ll still be totally blown away 🙂

I personally would find another dress. I’m sorry 🙁

UPDATE:Thanks for all of your advice guys. Ive organised a trip this weekend to go on the hunt for a dress. I think because I only ever tried this one dress on, I might just be i love with just dressing up,and not neccessarily the dress itself!so Im going to try a good few on,try different styles, material etc.Knowing my luck though, there will probably be aother post from me in a few days saying I cant decide between all the dresses I tried on lol. Thank you for all your opinions and advice, youve all bee great!!xx
