I don’t want to get your hopes down, but want to be real. These symptoms can be pregnancy OR period symptoms. You won’t know until you miss a period and test.

I’m TTC and I’ve been in the same boat. Got my hopes up just to have them crushed.

I am usually the negative nancy to these posts but dont take it as I think you wont end up pregnant, just try and relax while you ride out the wait. I tried for 4 and a half years to get pregnant, I put myself through agony picking apart symptoms. If the sky was blue it was a symptom. I felt crazy.

The truth is during your luteal phase, the time between ovulation and your menses, your body is a hormonal warzone. This can attribute to many “symptoms” whether pregnant or not. Bloat, emotional, cramps, even breast tenderness are all possible before you get your period, or if you end up pregnant.

Trust me I feel like just as much as anyone there was a magical instance that we could all just know the second of conception, but the biggest hurdle you will learn to jump is having patience to test. GL to you though Ill keep you in my thoughts!

I agree with the PPs.  I usually gain a few pounds before my period comes.  I used to know in high school that it was coming because I would get on the scale and see a rise for no apparent reason (not eating poorly, still exercising normally, etc).  Also, I don’t think the first stage of pregnancy involves much weight gain since it is mostly the cells dividing, the baby doesn’t start to really grow until end of 1st trimester or after so I don’t think you would start gaining weight that fast.  Doesn’t mean you wont get a BFP this cycle, but I think it is next to impossible to know you are pregnant without taking a test unless you are way late for AF (and you know when you ovulated).  Unfortunately, all of your symptoms (and all pregnancy symptoms in general) can also be symptoms of AF since the same hormone causes them.  Good luck, I hope you get your BFP!
