and I couldn’t be happier!
After spending months agonizing over how much I disliked my original dress, I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy the dress I love!
(for those interested, you can read about my dress drama here)
While I am still a bit embarrassed that I have become a two dress bride statistic, and I do feel guilty spending so much money on “just a dress,” I am so happy that I decided to get the one I love. My excitement over this in comparison to how I felt after my first purchase is like night and day.
A few things:
- The sample in the photos is white lace on white, and I ordered white lace on ivory, so the lace detail will hopefully be more visible in my actual dress
- Please ignore the sash… I plan on wearing something different.
- The photos really do not do the dress justice… in person the lace is just beautiful and in the pictures you can hardly tell it’s even lace!
Behold! My beautiful lacy Romona Keveza!
hmmm… I think I like you….
You look good standing up….
You look good sitting down….
Your beautiful lace makes me smile…
Yes, I think you are the one!!!
Yay! You will soon be mine! I can’t wait to meet you in August!

glad you are happy, you can try to sell your 1st dress to try to get rid of the guild, but don’t beat yourself up. I’m curious to see how the lace will look on ivory. Btw, I like the “wierd color sash” it compliments the dress.

I love it! You look beautiful. Now…I am worried…I didn’t do a sit test with my dress! I love Ramona’s dresses but no where near here has them 🙁

It’s so pretty! I love the lace detailing on the hem of the neckline and bottom of the skirt.

Absolutely perfect! So timeless and romantic! I kinda like the sash, too. I know you said you’re doing something different, but just had to say because normally I don’t like sashes at all. It compliments your figure, but then again, the whole dress does that just fine on its own. What do you plan to do instead? 🙂

Ah, you look so beautiful…I’m happy for you, you absolutely made the right decision. Nice to put a face with the name too finally, you’re so pretty!
Let me know if anyone wants to buy that Romona dress with the same neckline and same lace but in a-line silhouette for half the price, as I’m selling one Yes, I’m shamelessly using SerenaSF’s gorgeous photos for my own advertising.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I love the dress… I have spent way too much time in the past 24 hours just looking at photos of myself in it. Narcissistic and I don’t even care! This is a far cry from my original purchase, where just thinking about it bummed me out and looking at pictures of me in it just depressed me even more.
@FutureMrsMcDermott: the scalloped hem and neckline are my favorite features! They add such a softness to it… when it was on it just felt effortlessly romantic.
@Cornflakegirl: I definitely plan on wearing something around my waist, but I think a beaded belt or sash, similar to the one on the model posted below. There was one beaded sash that I just loved, but then I saw the $650 price tag and well, my love quickly faded ($650 for a sash? seriously?). I am hoping to find something similar but much cheaper on etsy.

@meliss: Thanks! I do love it, and you honestly helped me come to the decision 🙂 Shamelessly use my posts all you want… your dresss is a stunner. I still wish it would have worked out for me… I just don’t have the same gorgeous curves as you!
