My latest obsession is white dance floors! I thought about it for a hot minute and even found a vendor but after seeing a friends wedding on a white dance floor. WOW!! Now so far the pricing I have found is not pretty. BUT my fiance said that if I got a cheaper dress(like from April’s Bridal versus Amsale) that we could possibly get a white dance floor. Is it worth it? Anyone had one? What vendors did you use? We are currently looking at the vinyl sticker that gets rolled out on the floor. Any experiece or thoughts would be appreciated!

What is the comparison cost?

i’ve never seen one but my vote is anything but a parquet dance floor. i looked at a venue with granite dance floor. it looked really slippery. my brother rented a black dance floor. my favorite is dark brown wood dance floors.

@red_rose: The cost issue is that our venue already has a dance floor for our use. I am looking at a vinyl floor they roll out on top that is like a giant sticker. It would be an extra $600-1000 for the floor BUT I feel it really adds to the atmosphere and decor of the room. There is only one vendor that I have found in our area so that is why I am reaching out to Bees to see if anyone has seen anything with a better price tag.
Unfortunetly our venue is like all hotels with the standard parquet floor. So it is either topping it with the white floor or having the parquet floor plain. I just feel the floor is so blah. Pictures of our dance floor could be from the 70s or 90s with floor like that.

I think it looks nice and I get why you’re excited, but you’ll probably be the only one to notice. I had a B&W dance floor as a surprise and I barely noticed it myself. But after I did, it was fabulous! I’d still say keep the parquet and spend that extra $$ on more fabulous food.

I totally advice you to get a vinyl dance floor, we had one and it changed the look of the venue radically. We got ours from Prestige Wedding Decoration. We havent experience any problem with it.

@baletrina: Love this! I’m also a Chicago bride – where did you end up finding the white dance floor?

@Countrymousecitymouse: We went with Larry at Partyfloor. DH actually gave me the floor as my Christmas gift before the wedding. He wrapped up all this printer paper taped together and said “Now you have your dance floor!” I laughed so hard I cried and we danced on it in front of the tree. I thought he was joking. Turns out he wasn’t!
I do not regret spending the extra money on the floor. It turned out AMAZING looking and really made our room special. Everyone raved about how gorgeous it was. Larry even gave us the spare roll of our logo for us to keep. Its huge but I am going to frame it for our bedroom. 🙂 PM me if you have more questions.
