After enduring a nightmare of traveling from Las Vegas Monday morning and not returning home until 11pm to Upstate NY Monday night, I needed a day and a half of recoperating 🙂 We landed to the airport 20 minutes early Monday night, and after we retrieved our luggage, we estimated we’d be home by 8pm. About 20 minutes on the NY State thuway, we realized that we were screwed. Because of the hurricane, the thruway was closed from Syracuse to essentially about 15 miles away from Albany, which put us squat in the middle of a 3 hour traffic back up. what normally takes us about 1 hour and 45 minutes to drive from the airport home took us 5 hours.
Our wedding was incredible though! Our ceremony was at 4pm, and I left to have my hair & makeup done at 1pm. When I left, Mr M was snoring on the couch of our suite, clearly a great sign that he wasn’t nervous or concerned at all 🙂 Here’s some pic of my hair & then my makeup (which came out incredible!)
Here’s my makeup:
Us getting ready:
We do not have our ceremony pictures back yet (will be forced to do another Recap-Darn!)
After the ceremony, we met our photographer up at our suite to cut our cake & take a few pics, then it was on to our Strip Tour…

Here’s some strip shots…
In this picture, we were at the Venetian, and this group of frat looking boys came walking by, one of them saying, “Hey, can we be in your picture?!” they kept walking and definitely didn’t expect us to be like, “Yeah, get over here!” LOL, it looks like the perfect ad for “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” In fact, yesterday afternoon, Mr. M sent this picture to one of his buddies who didn’t know we eloped, it was perfect!

Some of the most memorable moments of the 2 day trip was during check in when we were walking to our room, a group of drunken early 20’s girls yelled to Mr. M, “You guys have a great time-Get drunk, or I don’t know, have some sex!” LMAO!!!
Moment #2 was when we were walking through the casino to get outside with our photographer and this really sloppy drunk girl looks at me and points yelling, “Yerrrrr thaa brrrrrrriddde!” hahaa, I looked at her and said, “Yes, yes I am!”
Moment #3 was after we finished up at the Bellagio fountains. Our photographer was packing up his equipment, and this Asian coule came up to us and asked if our photographer could take a picture with their camera of them with us. We kinda felt like side show freaks! hahaha, but all in good fun we agreed. That’s what memories are made o!
All in all we had a wonderful time, and told our families yesterday. They were all very supportive of our elopement, and all were shocked that I was able to keep something like that a secret because I am the worst secret keeper ever! I owe the bee’s a huge THANK YOU for letting me share my joys and planning wth you all! I can’t wait to share the ceremony pictures once we get those.
