    They both do good work, but I think the Diamond Street Films does more ‘real’ looking, Atlas seems to be a little more ‘couture’, IMO. I think accidentally voted for Atlas, when I prefer Diamond.

    @sealevels:  they’re both good so it’s hard to pick lol.  I voted for the first one though, I just like their style a little more.

    The second one seems a little more professional looking to me, from what I can see in the few images I flipped through. i voted for them. Just don’t like the style of the first one.

    I voted for #2 but honestly I wouldn’t be able to pick because both are similarly very good.

    I just really liked the fact that #2 has experiences in fashion (im a sucker for fashion) AND I thought her bridal party portraits as well as bride&groom portraits are fantastic and have wow factor.

    @sealevels:

    Diamond Street – objectively I think they are good photographers, but I don’t care for their style at all… way, way too many B&W images in the wedding I looked at.  I dislike B&W.  A lot of times I feel like photographers turn their images B&W to hide color/exposure flaws, but I don’t get that feeling here…. it’s just a stylistic thing as far as I can tell.  However, the colors do look a little “off” to me in some of the reception photos… It could just be that wedding or it could just be their style.  I wouldn’t hire them personally.

    Atlas – Definitely my preference of the two – because they use a natural, bright colors style which is what I prefer.  I like their reception photos better as well – again, I only looked at one wedding from each, but I think they do a slightly better job.  They do have a lot of sepia toned and B&W images as well… meh.  I prefer the sepia to B&W.

    If it were me,  I’d go with Atlas.

    I haven’t looked at pricing yet… I know you said they are similar, but how much?  I’m curious.  I’d guess the $2500 range.

    @sealevels:  Which one was Tiffany and which one was Miguel? LOL.

    Yes, I was guessing them both to be in the lower end of actual pro photography (as opposed to budget “I don’t really know what I’m doing”).

    You should go with the photographer who’s work you like better!  My personal style is not going to be the same as yours.  Look at every single one of their weddings that you can…. hopefully the more you do that, the more the right answer will stand out.

    I had such a hard time choosing my photographer… you have no idea.  I couldn’t find someone who was exactly like me!!  That made it very difficult… ultimately, I went with about the closest I could find, and it’s still not exactly what I’d ideally have because every person is different and all artistic styles are different.  You kind of just have to pick the one that “clicks” with you the most.

    @sealevels:  hey again, have you discussed with Fiance any further? You are torn because you two have different likings right?

    I just looked into both photographers’ blog a little more, and I thought, what you like about Miguel is that he seems to showcase the happy faces in action a bit more. Tiffany showcases a little more portraits which I think she does so well based on her background. So you like “action” photos. Am I right? Have you seen a few sets of full weddings by both photographers? That will give you more of an idea on what you want I think.

    Which kind of photography do you think will capture YOUR wedding best? Because both photogs are great IMO. That should give you an answer.

    Have you met in person with either photographer?  If you like one’s personality over the other that would be the determining factor for me.

    I voted for Diamond Street, although I think either one will do a good job capturing your wedding.
