In order to do my new job, I have to learn the internet contact dept so that’s where I’m starting.
I feel like a useless lump. I’m on day 2 of this job and the other ladies are working all day emailing, calling, and setting appointments and I’m…complaining on weddingbee. I have to take some classes first, which as far as I know I haven’t been assigned for, unless the short software tutorials online were considered classes. I don’t have an email set up, and even if I did, I still know virtually nothing about the inventory and very little about the people to transfer customers to. I’m allowed to make follow-up calls for the other ladies’ appointments but haven’t had any sent to me.
I shadowed yesterday and today he started me on data entry. I finished and said “What should I do now?” He just told me “…I’ll find something. We’ll keep you busy” but that was maybe 2 hours ago.
When I got hired, he sounded urgent and pushed me to start work earlier than I originally said I’d be available. Bah! I’ve been spending time researching our products and listening to the way the ladies handle customers but it’s so dull.
