Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Who acts like this? Your Aunt is VERY out of line.
Also, I would just like to point out that margarita makers don’t have to be used JUST to make margaritas! I’m a smoothie fanatic, and I think that margarita machines are SOOO much better at chopping up the ice than a regular blender. If you know that you’ll use it, then who cares if they think you will or not!
Somebody needs to give her an attitude check, and tell her that if she doesn’t like the item you registered for then she should buy you something else and keep her mouth shut.

I am so sorry you have to go through this. What is it about weddings that brings out the worst in people? I dont understand it!
Please dont for one second feel that you need to explain to us or anyone else what the two of you put on YOUR wedding registry! People make them in the first place bc everyone is different and everyone likes and wants different things.
My fiance and myself have a son who is 3 year of age. I am big on margaritas, I love them! And you better believe I would put one on my registry as well. The whole comment of drinking & having kids is he dumbest thing I have ever heard. Life does not end when you have children, lol. We still entertain and drink, is called a babysitter!
So do what makes you happy and to hell with this rude Aunt of yours!

This is the time for you to register for all the things you want…but would never buy yourself! I’d be tempted to shove her head in the margarita machine!!!!! ahhhh! want me to call her for you?! sheesh!

Screw her. Seriously. It’s your house, your marriage, YOUR registry. I personally think a margarita machine is the shizz. You will have awesome parties! And who cares about when you have kids? That’s your own business, and goodness knows I’m gonna need a drink or three when they’re calling for my attention all day. Good for you, standing up for yourself, and don’t listen to her idiot words. She’s a small-minded woman with jealousy at her core. I’d uninvite her to the engagement party, and tell her it’s “No dice!” on a wedding invite. Seriously woman. Some people think they can just mouth off with no repurcussions.

Omg, we had a SODA MAKER on our registry, and someone actually bought it for us, and I think it’s really cool although we don’t use it much. Can’t imagine what your aunt would say if you had a soda maker on your registry. So my point is, people have ridiculous stuff on their registry sometimes (not very practical), but it’s something they want and are going to enjoy and love using afterwards. You should not let people tell you what you like and want – only you can know that.

If people were offended by what’s on your gift registry, they must not have a whole hell of a lot going on.

Wow, I can’t believe your aunt said that to you! It is very rude and don’t worry one bit what you put on the registry. I think your aunt is unhappy in her life and took it out on you.

Who’s wedding is it??? I think that’s all that needs to be said! 🙂

Yes, I got registry grief for registering for WHITE towels. “They’ll get dirty”, “They won’t last”, “Why spend so much money on nice towels when they will just get stained?” etc etc.
I had white towels throughout college and they are STILL white. It’s called bleach. Use it! lol. I ended up changing the color of our towels, but it really made me mad!!! I still want white towels. 🙁

WHOA! Your aunt is way out of line! There’s nothing wrong with getting a margarita machine – it would be awesome to have one! I don’t see how kids factor into that.
And madelines are yummy! Why shouldn’t you have a pan and bake them? She’s being mean when she shouldn’t be judging you at all!
