I still haven’t made an absolute 100% decision but it looks like this will be my dress:

Here are flickr images of bodice detail (cause it doesn’t show up well in the overall dress pic)- http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/?saved=1

I will be removing lots of tulle to make more A-line, but it seems a lot of dresses posted here are A-line rather than full out ballgowns!

Does a dress go from A-line to ballgown once the poof extends past the hips?

Well, so far I have gone from having a big pouffy taffeta ball gown (Maggie Sottero’s Rachel) then I decided I didn’t like the fabric so I went with Maggie Sottero’s Isadora Marie even though it was A line, but I just couldn’t cope with the fact that it wasn’t a ballgown, so finally here we are with Maggie Sottero’s Lizette Royale and all I can say is Im in love. I love the tulle, i love the train and I love that its a ballgown.

Here it is:

what do you all think?

Well, I’ll post a pic of the dress from my first wedding, years ago, during the father-daughter dance.  Just cuz I LOVE the poofiness of the dress.

I bought the Belle dress by Alfred Angelo. Love it! and… well… poofier is always better. I’m going to ask about making it more poofy.

@tiny tuna: OMG me too! I just cringe at the thought of spending around $13K for a dress. I got Loretta by Sottero Midgley instead.
