I’m kinda in the same boat. I have a TON of ideas, but when it actually gets down to doing a lot of my projects, I just can’t find the energy to get started. I think I’m just afraid that I won’t be able to complete what’s pictured in my head…

Well I’m getting married the day after you and so far I have ordered my dress, gotten the flower girl dresses, got the material to have my bridesmaid dresses made, booked the venue ( ceremony and reception at the same location) purchased some of the stuff to do my centerpieces and that is IT. 

I HAVEN’T decided on a caterer, photographer, dj, bakery, which company I am going to use for the table and chair and tent rental, a florist, started the STD but not finished.

I am so flipping behind it makes no sense.  I know exactly what I have to do but instead I’m on wedding bee every second of the day!!  Oh, I did start my wed page on wedding wire and I love it.  So I need some help and guidance as well.

an advice?? Take one small step. Then another. And another and when you look back..wow, you’lee see how much you’ve done!  I am always afraid to start something huge and i hold it till the last moment, but not this time. I amamazed at how organized i have been with the wedding planning as i am not like this..usually.

Sooooo, take a deep breath and take 1 step. Just 1 and you will do fine 🙂

I do what my mother calls the “15 mintue rule” I try to do one wedding realted thing a day for 15 mintues. Even if its just shooting emails off to vendors, or one small detail. I’ve learned that before I know it I’ve done alot more then I had planned each day. Also lists really help as well as those wedding checklists and time lines.

I have found that after getting most of the big things done…My dress, Bridesmaids dress, Venues, DJ, Photographer…you get it…now all Im concentrating on is the fun DIY stuff that way I have plenty of time to be creative! And I can test to see what I like. I have set up my dining room table as my project table that way whenever I get to feeling like working on something its already set out and I can work little by little. Also if your fiance can help even with small things have him help so your not so over whelmed!
