That house would boost my spirits! You could always do a small elopement there with your children and family. That way it’s not as stressful and overwhelming as the full blown crazy wedding. Hope that helps! :o)

@crebre….you know I went looking for something similar to my ring. He did some custom designs but this is kind of similar. The wedding band also has the diamonds all the way around. He won’t tell me the total weight of the set and I don’t particularly care…but the 3 stones total 2.5 carats. He said he went for quality over quantity…. It’s more than enough for me =)
@Curly…we are trying…this is one of the issues with being a 30+ bride and a 40+ groom. Life definitely gets in the way of plans =)
@2010…where do I begin…here is the synopsis…a winter storm blew into the SE the weekend we were supposed to fly out. The earliest flight we could get was Tues (Dec 22) and that was the wedding date. THEN we found out that the resort neglected to BOOK the wedding portion of the trip anyway….LOL. So now the resort wants to give us a free stay and 1/2 off the wedding but we just don’t have the time to go. It took some fancy footwork for both of us to be off for that amount of time at the same time. With careers and school (my Fiance is in school for his PhD and I have a 12 yr old in school) there is no way we can make it out of the country for a week.
@Azin…it does….I have been scrolling through the pictures to get a little boost =) We will probably round up the kids and hit the Justice of the Peace and have a fun “photo shoot” afterwards. We were planning on taking a family trip to PR anyway…so we will probably wait until then. I am not as stressed about the whole thing now…kind of going with the flow…

Holy crap – that is your house? CRAZY! I feel the same way a lot of the time – trying to rent a house to hold the wedding requires extra event fees – and only certain houses allow events – and there is an extra deposit and double the cleaning fees – plus processing fee. And I thought it would be easy to do a Destination Wedding…

Giiirrrrlllll!!!! OMG freakin awesome!!!! Ok I totally understand your frustration especially since you are not living together till marriage (us either). I agree with the suggestion to go to a beautiful B&B with your original guests (I think it was only going to be you FH and daughter) and get married so your lives together can begin…and you can start wearing that wedding band 😉
I posted on your other page that FH and I are getting married with just minister and our moms this summer and then having a vow renewal ceremony a year later…just could not stand being apart any longer and now were both counting down the days!
The most important thing is that you’re together 🙂
Did I say your home is freakin awesome 😉 woooowwwwww I wouldn’t even pay a resort Id have my wedding or vow renewal right there…it sure is big enough 😉
