Ehhhh I hate computer problems. Computers are great when they work.
Boo! I guess this will convince you to buy an external hard drive just in case.

Oh no!!! That sucks 🙁 Feel free to cry away, I would too!

I know how sad this must be for you! At least some was able to be recovered.
My computer has a virus and it crapped out on me two nights before our wedding while I was trying to finish printing our programs. I wished I had backed up things – because there I was at 1 am printing my recreated ones on a neighbor’s borrowed laptop.
Save your files elsewhere ladies! 🙂

Ah! I had this happen to me as well! I had everything on there and lost it all. I cried. No lie. I was in such a pissy mood and didn’t remember which songs I picked or anything. I had to do it all over again 🙁 Just know you’re not alone.

That sucks!! I had something like this happen a year ago with my laptop. It died on me and I lost all the pictures I had. Probably over 2,000. I cried for days, lol. 🙁

I am so sorry.
I have gone through the same thing; twice!!!
Now I back everything up on a secondary hard drive; they are about $50.00 on average at Best Buy.
The first time, they just replaced my hard drive and were able to transfer 99% of everything over to the new one. The second time I just replaced the entire computer. My son was able to transfer the majority of everything to the new computer, so I was lucky, but I still lost important files both times. Lesson learned though.

Oh no…. that’s awful!!!!! 🙁 🙁 🙁 You sure you didn’t save them any other place besides your desktop?

I’m so sorry. I had a similar issue near finals one year in school. 🙁

Get an external hard drive! We have one and our computers automatically sync to it like every 20 minutes. If I actually had to plug something in, I would never do it. Hence why my iPhone is like 3 updates behind! =)

yep i sure did learn my lesson, guess its time to buy an external harddrive 🙁

What I did was set up a google account and use google docs. You can save your files there and access them from any computer that way if your computer crashes you don’t lose your work. It’s free and you can choose the privacy level so you can let your fiance access certain files if you want to. Check it out!

i second google docs! multiple users can edit at once too, it was a lifesaver for my hubby and me for everything we worked on together…also helped me switch between home and work computers easily
