Yes indeedy, I sure am! I’ve looked at ballet shoes, flats, skimmers-and by far, the most comfortable shoes I have found and tried on are Isotoner Satin Bedroom Slippers. I’m not kidding! They are so very comfortable-no concerns about tripping over anything or stumbling on a heel or catching a heel in the hem of my dress. Our pastor is also a bit on the short side and even though he will be up one step, I didn’t want to be taller than him. Fiance is over 6 feet tall, but I like how our heights line up when I’m in flats too-so slippers it is! The are really quite pretty-off white satin with a perfect little bow on the front. 🙂

I am wearing Isotoners slippers too! I bought the satin ones with embroidered flowers and rhinestones. I hoped that they would look more like a ballet slipper, but NO, they look like bedazzled house slippers! I don’t care, though. They are comfy and they won’t add to the fact that I am already taller than my beloved! Your day is coming soon!

It’s rather hilarious…I think. My seamstress was here today with my dress and she just laughed and laughed and then she said-we’re going to have to shorten it too, but I’ll bet you’re going to be comfortable!
I don’t want to be standing up there thinking about how much my feet hurt and after chasing my kids around the reception and such, I didn’t want to have blisters or sore feet. I’d like to actually do some walking about and maybe some light hikes while we are in the mountains on our honeymoon.
Yeah, my seamstress makes housecalls! LOL-worthy of a side note-it is either she come here where my 5 years and 11 1/2 month old twins (they are very concerned and careful about adding the months bc they are almost 6) are occupied and on their own turf-or I go to her house…she comes here. After a long & sweaty day at school on the playground at recess, in and out of the building, bus duty, etc. I have to take a quick shower anyway before putting on my undergarment (an all-in-one that resembles a blush colored outfit that Madonna would wear-ewww-it’s so ugly-I hate it, but it holds up and in all the right places!) so she came here after I hopped in the shower.
