I know exactally how you feel. I’m not real big on surprises myself. My SO also said we’d be engaged by the end of March. Atleast we know the waiting part will come to an end soon. To keep myself in check, I just look back a few months ago when I had no idea how long I’d be waiting. That seems to help, but is has gotten really hard the closer we’ve gotten into the month that’s for sure.

Lets hope he surprises you early in the month, because he hasnt left much to the imagination by singling out that one weekend. Maybe he said that to you so you would expect it later and he’s really planning on doing it sooner ๐Ÿ™‚ You never know!

You’ve got a classic case of what my friends have dubbed “crazy lady brain”…you know the wait will soon be over so in reality theres nothing to worry about, but of course you can’t stop stressing about it Tongue Out   Sometimes you just can’t help but over think things and worry when there’s nothing wrong.  When I get a case of crazy brain (whether it’s proposal related or otherwise) I force myself to get distracted and keep my mind on other topics.  It can be anything, read a book, clean out your closet, learn to knit…anything that’s going to keep your mind busy until the moment of stress passes.  I sometimes include a glass of wine with those acitivites but that’s optional ๐Ÿ˜‰

I feel like we’re in the same boat. My SO has put a payment on my ring, and he said “within six weeks” he’d have it paid off, but lately he’s ben saying “sooner than you think”. We, too, only see each other on the weekends, so I’ve been trying to figure out when it will be. No luck on my end. The whole month of April we’ll be busy every weekend, so I doubt it will be then. I really think it’ll be by the end of this month, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up in case it doesn’t happen.

Also, we have a pretty long relationship too. Dated years ago, broke up for two years [dated other people and I had a baby], then got back together in 2010. It’s only been “two years”, but it’s really been five. It’s time, for both of us!
